About The Company

Big Mix Entertainment was formed in November 1997, fulfilling a lifelong ambition of mine to become a mobile DJ.

Once the word spread about the quality of service and love for entertaining people, We have secured the vast majority of work through word of mouth recommendations.

In October 1998, Big Mix secured a residency at the Abbey Inn, Bearwood, providing an 80's theme night that was extremely popular and soon gained a devoted following week in week out. It was an extremely enjoyable time, probably the most fun I ever had as a DJ. It's quite something to realise that you're a big part of the reason why punters are coming to that particular venue, and I was playing the type of music I really enjoy.

Due to personal commitments, Big Mix moved operations from Birmingham to Daventry towards the end of 2001. After the relocation, I worked extremely hard upgrading the sound and lighting system, increasing the variety of the music library and re-establishing The company's previously outstanding reputation.

In September 2003, we were contacted by Darren Jeff's, a local DJ who was very keen to join the company. Darren J was a vital part of Big Mix Entertainment until he went on to other things late in 2007

In March 2004, we added a whole new dimension to our services by offering a range of interactive tools directly from our website. We continue to offer these tools today to current clients and will soon be offering them to everyone.

At the end of 2004, the website had a complete refurb, courtasy of SiteSell.com. I'm still using SiteSell to host this site and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

So, that brings us bang up to date...
